Fall semester 2026

This seminar is part of the Arc-Hest exchange program and happen before and after the Fall semester 2026 (see below)

Human-Computer Interaction Seminar

For Fall semester 2026, the HCI seminar will take place in the form of an exchange program with South-Korea. It consists in a 2-week workshop in Fribourg between August 17-29 2026, and a 2 week workshop in Seoul between January 25-February 6 2027. Most of the costs (including travel costs) are covered.

In terms of Computer Science, the program will focus on 3D scanning and rendering combined with Augmented Reality technologies, all these applied in an inter-disciplinary architectural/engineering project. No prior knowledge is required as example building blocks will be provided, but an interest in experimenting with these technologies is welcome.

Please find here a detailed description of this edition and here some links to previous editions.

As this exchange program starts already in Summer 2026, students have to submit their application before May 20 2026 to julien.nembrini at unifr.ch.

Applications should include:

  • A short CV,
  • A motivation letter stating why you would be interested to attend the program.

IMPORTANT: By registering for the program, you are confirming your attendance at both workshops, unless you have an emergency that prevents you from attending.
